So, I thought I'd attempt to make a burger today. I used quinoa cooked in veggie broth, lentils, mashed, seasonings and I totally forgot the tvp. :( So, the texture was a little off, but it was still totally delicious. For now I'm just posting a pic, but in the next couple weeks I'll be sure to add the tvp to the next batch and post a review:
Lunch was yummay!
Wow, that looks so good ! My mouth is watering. I would love to make these...are you going to share the recipe ? I hope so.
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing! Look at all the colors :)
ReplyDeleteYou are SO creative.
Okay...I have quinoa and lentils in my cabinet NOW and I want this recipe NOW. Hahaha! It looks great! I made the farmhouse burger before (with eggplant...yum!).
ReplyDeleteCould you email it to me? Or at least a link to the recipe? PLEASE?!
Thank you!

That looks delish. I may have to try that if I can find the quinoa. I've been trying various veggie burgers over the last year or so. I'm not veg or vegan though. What's tvp?
ReplyDeleteSweet pea: I will when I have a recipe to share, I haven't sussed it out perfectly yet. But when I do I'll post it here asap. Cuz it was tasty, just needs a little work with the firmness.
ReplyDeleteSafire: thanks!
Chubby: I emailed you a rough outline cuz you sounded pretty desperate. hahaha, but like I said above will post a real recipe next week (when I get more quinoa to experiment with!)
stacy: TVP is texturized vegetable protein. It's what a lot of veggie burgers are made from, it's like "boca crumbles" only I buy mine dehydrated and just rehydrate it and season it and cook it how I like.
