“Acceptance is not submission..."

" Acceptance is not submission; it is acknowledgement of the facts of a situation. Then deciding what you're going to do about it." So have any of you been stalling out? How are you dealing with it? For those of you who haven't yet, how are you planning on dealing with it when that time comes? I've given it some thought, and have decided against doing the juice fast. I realized it made me cranky and with my unhealthy dieting history it had the potential to take me to a bad place. I have accepted that I'm stalling out. I've reduced my cals (after first trying to increase them also with no results), increased my exercise....nothing is happening and I've decided that is okay. I've had a steady 8-9+ lb loss every month for the last 7 months or so. This happens, stalls and plateaus, they happen and they are unfortunately a part of the process. I'm glad I lost almost 70 lbs before it happened, I'm trying to be thankful for that at the very ...

New shirt, new size...

So, I just wanted to let you guys know I have been talking to the woman who runs  www.yummyplants.com  and I'm going to write an article for her site. It was suggested I write about the health benefits I've experienced since switching to a plant based diet and different things about my experiences with obesity, maybe touch on childhood obesity. It will be an article style, not blog, but I just wanted to let everyone know to check out her site, it's really great and it's for anyone, not just vegans, even if you are just looking to add more healthy fruits/veggies to your diet, it's full of restaurant reviews and recipes and also has a forum so be sure to check it out. I have another job interview on Wednesday. I'm excited, I think I would do great at this place and I feel really confident.  I'll let you all know if I hear back. So, today just out of curiosity before heating off to PT I tried on my size 18 capris, hoping that SOON they would fit so I could wear them to pt, since she works on my calves I thought it would be easier. So, I put them on and they fit. Much excitement, I had to share. :) (Yes that is windex behidn me, man was my mirror gross!) Woooo! Have you had any Non-Scale Victories lately?
